American tennis player Coco Gauff is showing promising potential to win the 2020 Australian Open title as she glides through the tournament with another straight-sets victory against fellow American Alycia Parks on Friday.
Gauff, who is the reigning US Open champion, secured a spot in the fourth round at Melbourne Park after defeating Parks 6-0 6-2 in just over an hour.
Despite knowing each other for over a decade as they practiced together in their childhood days in Florida, Gauff showed no mercy as she dominated the first set without losing a single game.
