Joey Meneses electrified the 47,534 in attendance at Chase Field on Sunday, mostly Mexican fans, with two home runs -including a powerful three-run shot in the fourth- that helped propel Mexico to an 11-5 victory over the United States in the World Baseball Classic. Meneses had already put his team up 2-0 with a solo homer in the opening inning, sending the crowd into a standing ovation.

America added three runs in the 8th inning to make the game more respectable.
