Young said he was excited to join the Panthers and that he was “ready to go to work”.

Bryce Young, who stands at a slightly lower-than-average height of 5-foot-10 1/8, is just the fourth quarterback taken with the first overall pick since 2006. Arizona Cardinals Kyler Murray, Johnny Manziel and Russel Wilson were the others.

They say everything is Bigger in Texas, so the Texan’s made a Big move trading up nine spots to number 3, just as they selected CJ Stroud, QB out of Ohio State with the number 2 pick. They followed that pick and doubled up, selecting Will Anderson Jr., pass-rusher out of Alabama with the third pick.
