The founder and former owner of the Carolina Panthers Jerry Richardson passed away at the age 86.
Richardson founded and owned team from 1993 to 2018. The Panthers made the post season eight times and appeared in one Super Bowl in his tenure.
Richardson played for the Baltimore Colts from 1959-1960
