Longtime NFL defensive Coordinator Don “Wink” Martinadale is going back to college to assume that position for the defending National Champions University of Michigan.
Martindale, 60 most recently ran the New York Giants Defense in 2022-2023. Previous to that he was very sucsessful with the Baltimore Ravens from 2018-2021.
He cut his teeth in the college ranks from 1986-2003 that included stops at Notre Dame in Cincinnati.
Martindale replaces Jesse Minter who went to the Chargers with head coach Jim Harbaugh.
