The week long saga of Darius Slay has ended with the Philadelphia Eagles re-signing the Pro-Bowl cornerback to a two-year, $42 Million deal with $23 Million guaranteed.

Earlier in the week, The Eagles granted Slay permission to seek a trade after initially not being able to come to terms on a contract extension. Reports Wednesday morning had the Eagles releasing Slay. But as Wednesday played out, the two sides came to an agreement that would keep the cornerback in The City of Brotherly Love.

Much to the delight of Eagle fans, they get to keep their star player plus his teammates will still be able to have their weekly fill of (Darius wife) Jennifer Slay’s famous Banana Pudding.
