The Milwaukee Bucks are set to hire Doc Rivers as their new head coach as early as today, according to reports. Rivers will replace Adrian Griffin, who was suddenly fired yesterday.

Rivers, who was working at ESPN as a game analyst as well as a consultant for the Bucks, was let go by the 76ers following last season.

The 62 year-old Rivers won an NBA championship as he coached the Celtics to the crown in 2008. Rivers also coached the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers.

Rivers has a career coaching record of 1860-1097 and has taken 18 teams to the playoffs in 23 years on the bench. Rivers has ties to Milwaukee as he was a star at Marquette from 1980-1983.
